Cape of Good Films is Akshay Kumar's production banner. Bhooth Bangla (April 2026, ₹211 Cr WW) was Akshay's first ₹200+ Cr WW since Sooryavanshi (2021) — co-produced with Balaji Motion Pictures. The reunion with director Priyadarshan delivered the year's biggest horror-comedy. Cape of Good Films is the producer-of-record for most Akshay self-led projects, even when commercial pressure pushes him to co-production with Maddock, Pooja Entertainment or T-Series. The post-Sooryavanshi cold streak (2022-25 Akshay films mostly underperformed) is broken with BB. Akshay's 2026-27 strategy is clearly visible: pivot from generic action to genre cinema (horror-comedy, period drama).
